The homeowners’ love of roses provided the theme, and a slab of salmon-pink, burgundy and black granite inspired the color palette for an elegant and efficient new family kitchen in Jamul. Interior designer Marlene Holmquist of Studio One created the space for clients who live on 12 acres in Jamul.

From the radiating flower forms in the aloe glass mosaic backsplash and blown glass chandelier to the vivid color palette of white, garnet and deep ultramarine blue, the operative word to describe this Scripps Ranch kitchen is “wow.” Designed by Studio One of Ramona, the house could double as an art gallery.
